Die Clempanei is a duo formed by Georg Clementi and Ossy Pardeller, two artists who craft songs that speak to both the heart and the mind. A rare songwriting partnership, Clementi – a beloved figure of the Salzburg State Theatre – and Pardeller – an exceptional guitarist from South Tyrol – bring to the stage a unique blend of poetry, irony, and musical virtuosity. Georg Clementi, born in Bolzano on the day of the Moon landing, is a singer-songwriter, actor, and director. A member of the Salzburg State Theatre ensemble and artistic director of the Salzburg Street Theatre since 2016, he has received numerous awards for his songs, including prizes at the “Troubadour” in Stuttgart and the Potsdam Song Festival. Critics and media such as Ö1 and Saarländischer Rundfunk describe him as one of the finest voices in contemporary German chanson. Together with Ossy Pardeller, he founded Die Clempanei and also presents philosophical cabaret performances in collaboration with painter Michael Ferner. Ossy Pardeller studied classical guitar in Bolzano and Innsbruck, later immersing himself in flamenco in Seville. A composer and performer with over 80 theatre productions to his credit, his guitar miniatures are published by Dux Edition. With Die Clempanei, Pardeller creates compositions that combine technical mastery, passion, and emotional depth – a creative dialogue with Clementi that has been evolving for more than two decades.
