Regulations

Art. 1 – Organisation

The contest is promoted by 12Ville and Edition Raetia as part of the production of the compilation Wish You a South Tyrol Christmas 2026.

Art. 2 – Purpose

The contest selects an original and unpublished Christmas song to be included in the official compilation Wish You a South Tyrol Christmas 2026. The initiative aims to promote local creativity, offering new South Tyrolean talent the opportunity to work alongside a professional production team and contribute to a musical project dedicated to Christmas in South Tyrol.

Art. 3 – Requirements for participation

Artists, bands, singer-songwriters born or resident in South Tyrol/Alto Adige are eligible to participate.

Original songs, instrumental or sung, in Italian, German, Ladin, or South Tyrolean dialect are eligible.

The use of English is also permitted, provided it is consistent with the artist’s artistic identity and the spirit of the compilation.

Art. 4 – Characteristics of the song

The song must:

• have a Christmas theme, interpreted freely (traditional, contemporary, ironic, spiritual, introspective, etc.);
• reflect the musical style of the artist/band (pop, rock, folk, electronic, jazz, R&B, choral, experimental, etc.);
• not contain content that is offensive, violent, discriminatory, defamatory or harmful to the dignity of individuals or groups.

Art. 5 – How to apply

Applications are open from 22 December 2025 to 23 January 2026.

Proposals must be submitted using the official form on this page (www.12ville.com/contest – link to be confirmed).

Art. 6 – Selection process

The selection will be made by the internal team at 12Ville, based on artistic quality, originality of the song and consistency with the project. The outcome is final and will be communicated by e-mail by 2nd February 2026 to the address indicated on the application form. If no communication is received by that date, the application must be considered unsuccessful.

Art. 7 – Prize for the winner

The selected artist will be entitled to:

• complete production of the song (recording, mixing, mastering) by producer Fabian Pichler, entirely covered by 12Ville/Edition Raetia;
• inclusion in the compilation Wish You a Südtirol Christmas 2026 (physical and digital format);
• €200 as compensation for the editorial acquisition of the song by Edition Raetia;
• €400 for the live performance at the official concert presenting the compilation (December 2026).

Tax note

The amounts (€200 + €400) will be paid as follows:

• with VAT number: amounts + VAT as applicable;
• with withholding tax (ritenuta d’acconto/ Quellensteuer): gross amounts, including withholding tax.

Art. 8 – Commitments of the selected artist

The artist undertakes to:

• meet production deadlines (by May 2026);
• participate in photo shoots (February–April 2026);
• collaborate in promotional activities (interviews, social media content, videos);
• provide technical and graphic materials within the agreed timeframes;
• agree with 12Ville on the use of name and image to ensure consistency in communication.

Art. 9 – Commitments of the organisation

12Ville/Edition Raetia guarantee:

• production of the physical support for the compilation,
• physical and digital distribution,
• online and offline promotion,
• organisation of the official concert,
• press office and marketing activities,
• general coordination of the project.

Art. 10 – Acceptance of the rules

Participation in the contest implies full and unreserved acceptance of these rules.
